I'm Back
I have a lot of tragedy the last month. A great friend and family member passed away and a friend of my sons passed away, both in accidents. I am holding my head up and keeping the faith. I am back and hope that things will be so much better.
One Day At A Time
Remember to live life one day at a time...enjoy today now and tomorrow when it gets here. There is nothing important enough in the future that it interferes with what you are doing right this minute...this minute is happening...the future may not.

My Busy Week
I have had a very busy week. I had a yard sale on Saturday and went to a local flea market on Sunday to sell. It took a while to get everything ready. I love yard sales. I am so glad that Spring is here. It's calling for rain this weekend, but I hope it doesn't...I wanna do another yard sale.:) I have been very busy with my home decor business. Now is the time that everyone is coming out of the Winter blahs and are ready to get motivated. I am so excited with everything in my life! I have to go to my son's school and take care of some graduation business. I can't believe that in 2 1/2 months my baby will be out of high school. I am so excited for him. I believe that everyone can be what they want to be...success is a journey...start it now!!

Change
I had to take care of some things, am back now. The weather is beautiful. Supposed to be 78 today. I was wearing snow boots Monday, am wearing shorts today. Funny how the weather changes so quickly. One day everyting is so gloomy, the next the flowers are blooming. I was like that myself. I was in a slump until I found that I could could make those flowers bloom. I saw that I can take control of my life and I did. Change is a good thing, you just have to figure out how to do it. I changed a lot of things, the biggest change being to be someone that I myself wanted to be. I live my life as I see fit and do things that make me happy. It took me 37 years to live for me and one of the most important things that I did was to knock the wall down that was stopping me from living. I quit worrying about what others thought and gave up on trying to please everyone else and started pleasing myself. I had issues that I no longer have because I tackled them head on and beat them. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't conquer your fears...I am a perfect example that you can and it is a tremendous relief.

Are you ready to own your own business?
It used to be that owning a small business and working fom home is what people did as extra income or because they really liked doing and offering what they did...almost as a hobby. Nowadays, people are having to start a small business to survive because there are no public jobs. I for one love owning my own business because working from home is one of the greatest things in the world. Home is my haven and I may as well eat, sleep, breathe and work there.
If we could only for see the future and know what it holds but we can't, so I am going to concentrate on my home businesses and enjoy working from home. I will put my heart and soul into it because I do not want to have to "look" for a job in a world where there are none.
Good luck to you all and may God bless each and every one of you!

Begin Your Journey!
I am getting hyped up for my son's high school basketball team to play in the Regional Championships. I love seeing these boys succeed and go far. Succeeding is one of the most important things in life. Success is a high for everyone. To me winning it all is what everyone wants, but just being their, win or lose, you still have to realize that you succeeded...you succeeded by being there and knowing that you put forth your best effort. Having others be proud of you is a success in itself. Life is what you make it and you have to pave your own road and start your own journey. It's up to you where you end up...making your way through the ups and especially through the downs. Hold your head up high, smile and keep going...begin your journey and never let it end!

Spring's a comin'
It has been a gorgeous day! I have got Spring Fever! I can't wait until the weather breaks and I can get out and work in my yard and start mowing the grass. Spring is my favorite season. Now is a great time to start thinking about starting your own business. Craft Shows, Festivals, Parties...all great places to work your business and get to know people. I love the fact that I will not have to punch a clock this Spring and Summer. I can work when I want and as much (or little) as I want. I will be having lots of BBQ's this year with all of this free time!

Love for my family
I took my daughter to her friends...again. I guess when they get a certain age, they like to go,go,go. I am so glad that I am at home now so that I can at least be here for her during her teen years. I just tell myself that she needs me as much now as she did when she was little. She helps me so much. She is going to be a wonderful "business" person. She is so outgoing and loves making new friends. I am so glad that I will be able to turn my businesses over to her. She will already know everything there is to know. I love the fact that I own a business that I can will to my family...it eases my mind. My family is so important to me and I want to know that they will always be taken care of.

Monday
I have had a great day. I got a lot done today. Got the bathroom fixed and did a few things outside. I'm still not quite used to being able to get up and not have to go to "work". I did some networking, talked to some friends and made some scent sample packets. Tomorrow I will go to the post office and mail those, carry my son to the dentist, do some more networking and go to my aunt's house and help her with a few things. Right now I am going to get on my couch. I have a pretty busy day tomorrow, but what I love about is that none of it is "work". Well, 'til tomorrow...Have a beautiful night!

Sunday Morning
Good morning. It's a beautiful, though windy, Sunday morning here in Virginia. I love Sunday mornings. This morning both the kids are with friends, my husband and I just had breakfast and now I get to sit here and relax. The house is clean, thanks to my wonderful hubby, the animals are fed and the race will be on later. At this moment, I have no worries...everything is wonderful. Later I am going to fix Mark his favorite dessert, a chocolate eclair. I love being able to get up and plan my day as I go. We have to do some work to the kid's bathroom and a few other minor things, but that will wait til tomorrow. Today we are just going to enjoy our day and be thankful for what we have and that we were able to watch the sun come up this morning! Have a beautiful day!

Random Thoughts
Today I got up, started the coffee, sit on the couch, logged on my laptop and started networking. That's the beauty of working from home...I can do it from my couch. I checked my emails, drank coffee and relaxed. The kids were at friends' houses and I took advantage of the time. I spent about an hour on the computer and then I helped my husband do some things outside. I am so ready for Spring. I can't wait to get outside and start planting flowers and working in my yard. I won't have to worry about finding the time anymore...I will be at home everyday to work outside...all day if I want to. I used to neglect my yard and flowers because I was always working, but not anymore! I will have the prettiest yard around...well I'll think so anyway. My days of neglecting what is important to me are over. I have taken control of my life and I will keep it. Everyone have a great night!

Business Start Up Costs
Most businesses require start up costs. You have to purchase kits and supplies and whatever it takes to get started. Some business start up costs are higher than others...it really just depends what all you get when you start. You also have to pay monthly fees for most businesses... to have a website and business tools, etc. But that is the best way and really the only way that you will have a successful online business. Think about what some people have to pay to keep their business going...construction workers, mechanics, restaurant owners, etc. You only get out of your business what you put into it. If you work your business and build it you will not have to worry about paying the monthly fees, the money will be there for you to pay them out of your income. There is so much that you can claim on your taxes. All of the money that is spent on your business will be a tax write off, so you want to make sure that you keep up with everything that you pay out. I know that sometimes start up fees can be hard to come up with, but trust me, if you want something bad enough you can make it happen...where there's a will, there's a way! You have to have supplies and kits or whatever your business entails and maybe someone could lend you the money if you don't have it and pay them back when you are doing good with your business. That may help you get more motivated with your business...tell yourself that you want to prove to whoever gave you the money that you can do this and their money was not a waste. If you want to own your own home based business, you have to spend some money to make money. You have to decide if you want to make a limited income in a public job or if you want to make unlimited income at home. A home business will pay off, you just have to work it and whatever your start up cost was or your monthly fees are will not even be noticed. You can run such a successful business that you won't be able to wait to spend even more money to keep it going and to know that you are doing what you wanted to do..."Working From Home." So, don't let start up costs and monthly fees scare you...what better way to spend the money than on yourself? A home based job does not require a start up fee, but most of the time you will work it just like a public job...set hours, being in one place, doing it like someone else wants you to do it. The freedom is not there like it is with a home based business. If there is any way for you to come up with the start up fee to start your home based business, it will be so worth it. Good luck to everyone and I hope that everything will work out for all of you! There are some things you can do without paying up front, but having some product on hand is always a good idea. There are also some businesses that cost very little to start.
Putting my heart and soul into my business
I have always worked outside of my home as a waitress. I finally decided that I was ready to work for myself, not for someone else. If you put your heart and soul into what you want to do, you can make it happen. I missed out on a lot of my children's childhoods because I was working and someone else was taking care of them. I can't change that now, but I can make up for it by being there now. If you have dreams and you don't try to make them come true, why have them? You are the only person that can play out those dreams. You control your own destiny. I used to go to bed at night dreading to get up the next morning and going to work. I made decent money and played a big role in helping to support my family, but I also helped to support someone else. I asked myself "Why are you working so hard for someone else when you could be working this hard just for yourself?" It was then that I realized that I could do this. It takes commitment and determination, but I had that with my public job. I already know how to be commited and determined, the difference being, I will now be commited to myself and determined to make myself successful, not someone else. Your life is what you make it and if really want to succeed, put your all into it. I will be the first to admit that it is scary to venture out own your own. That is one thing that is so great about the companies that I am representatives for. You are never by yourself. You work for yourself, but not by yourself. There is so much support and terrific leadership. I for one will be there to help you along the way. I believe in helping people. You have to help others if you want to help yourself. I know that a lot of people think that they have secure jobs, but in this day and time, no "job" is secure. Places are downsizing everyday, and most have no consideration for the employees...the ones that have put their time and effort into making the "top dogs" be at the top. With your own business you can't get fired and you will not get laid off. It is your business to work it how you want, when you want. If you are happy in your "job", you can always run a work from home business part time...extra income, discounts on products, meeting new people, making friends, the list goes on and on. And just incase something does happen with your job, you are already established in your own business. You do not have to jump into it full force at first. Give it a try and see how it goes. You may find your calling and not even realize you were looking for it. It is just so nice to be able to get up in the mornings and know that I am not on a time schedule. I can sit down, have a cup of coffee, check my email and plan my day without having to worry about getting to work on time. I set my own hours and know that I can change them if I have to. That is the beauty of doing what I do...having control over my life. I control my work, my work doesn't control me. With all of this being said, please take the time to think about it and decide if you want to be your own boss or not. So many people have lost their job and now is the perfect time to take advantage of starting your own home business. You are in control of how many hours you work and how much money you make. No one else can decide those things for you. You will be the one making all the decisions. It's up to you.
